If I was to hazard a guess as to one reason that may have pushed Ryan ahead of Keller, I would point to Burn's better running ability.  I was surprised as to how much Hogan ran over the last 3 seasons (averaging 80-90 plays) once I checked the stats. 

Bloomgren and Shaw most certainly enjoy having that arrow in the quiver.  That option should be even more explosive with the defense keying on McCaff.
