Here is what Ted Miller from ESPN said about the Burns vs Chryst debate today. I haven't heard an audio or seen a transcript of an interview or a press conference with Shaw about this, but I usually find Miller credible and knowledgable, and have no reason to doubt him.

Coach David Shaw pointed to two mental areas Tuesday where Burns eclipsed Chryst: pre-snap reads and post-snap decision-making. While both 6-foot-5, 230 pounders look the part — and Chryst was the 2015 backup — it shouldn't be surprising that the QB decision at Stanford comes down to brains rather than big arms or mobility."[/color]
