From my five keys to a Natty post, I think we got 3 1/2 of them:
- OL: Concerned. They did NOT play well in the second half
- QB: Ladies & gentlemen, we have a starting QB. Chryst is clearly the backup.
- ILB: Nothing great, but nothing glaringly bad
- OLB: Kalambayi & Alfieri were both beastly last night
- Coverage sacks: The DBs were ridiculously good last night, and we had eight sacks? At least five of those were coverage sacks, maybe more
All in all, some things to work on, a solid win over a good team, and a whole heck of a lot better than last year's opener!
Also, on top of the coverage sacks, there were several cases where we forced the QB to scramble because there was nowhere to throw to.
Also, K-state QB's were 19/41 for 5.9 ypa, and 2 INT's (plus a third, had the safety not happened first).
On your ILB stats... worth noting that Okereke had 7 tackles, and had 2 TFL and 1 sack.
