Time to "elevate" some Texas based bowl to near BCS status. Â The Cotton bowl could be played in Jones\' place, for example.
The winners of the the two divisions would still play a championship game, and if that winner went on to the BCS championship game then fine.
Otherwise, the Pacific division champion would play in the Rose Bowl. Â While the Mountain division champion would play in the Jones "Cotton" Bowl. Â Even if this is not formally the program, I am confident that the conference would evolve into something like this soon.
In this new era of mega mergers anything is possible, and I certainly could imagine that the Mountain 7 or 8 will be able to get a big payout bowl tie-in without any problem.
