5 conferences, 4 spots. If everyone is undefeated, playoff committee will find any excuse to shut someone out. And it'll be the Pac-12 that loses out if everyone beats each other up and finishes with 3 losses.

Stanford's better off beating 1-loss teams than 3-loss teams.

I'm going to guess you have not paid attention to how the Big-12 has performed in their non-conference games this year. If they all have the same record, the Big-12 is getting left out again.
