I'm assuming that the board has not yet reached its final form, so if I may add a suggestion: the current design wastes a lot of space, if we could clean that up I'd like it more. I know that this sort of spaced out design is en vogue right now, but I liked the old one for that.

The layout wastes a lot less space in IE (fairly similar to the old one) than in Chrome. It almost looks like Chrome is showing a mobile-optimized version of the page. All of this seems to corroborate the notion that things are still in flux. Patience seems warranted, as is appreciation for the admins who volunteer their time and effort to keep the site up and updated. That said, I do agree with whoever said a heads-up would have been nice.

EDIT: Sorry, it's not IE vs. Chrome. It's how wide the window is that switches between the two modes. Yvonne's reply above (while I was typing) seems to confirm the "mobile-optimizedness" of the layout.
