If you're in Windows then Ctrl++/- will grow/shrink webpages as will Ctrl+[scroll wheel]. If you're using an extendable browser then there are plugins that can change zoom settings per site, though maybe that's default behavior now (I used to have some weird interactions on an old computer, but don't use it any more).

Thanks!  That Ctrl++ is something I never knew about, and it entirely remedies the issue.  Good to know!
