I don't get it?  Stanford's a little dinged up, and the WA teams are probably better than expected, but it seems like there is something else going on?  They just look suddenly and profoundly lost and lifeless at every aspect of the game...  What happened to the team that beat KSU, Under Stanford Control (again) and UCLA -- this looks like just an entirely different team -- weird....

Anyone remember 1997? We were supposed to contend for conference honors since we returned a bunch of guys who beat Nick Saban's Michigan State team 38-0 in the Sun Bowl. We started the season 4-1 including a beatdown of USB. We proceeded to lose the next five games to finish 5-6 on the year.
