I left the stadium when Shaw gave up. Shaw gave up when he punted on 4th down late in the 3rd (might've been early 4th). Sure, we were deep in our own territory, but at that point our defense was being shredded. Sure enough, 5 plays after the punt, Wazzu had 1st and 10 from the same spot from where we punted.
Then he punts from practically midfield on the next drive. There were still 10 minutes to go! Does he NOT want to score points??
And don't get me started on the TO before halftime. The clock was already stopped! And there's Shaw, looking down on his 4' x 4' play sheet, trying to figure out how to get 3 yards. And he can't do it.
Poor coaching execution.
That's the way Shaw operates. He plays conservatively. We could be down 100 points and he would still punt from deep in his own territory on 4th down. You don't like it? You got plenty of company, but you better learn to live with it. As to whether that makes him a poor coach, well, I think his record would indicate it doesn't.

I don't think it makes him a poor coach. I think he makes poor decisions at times. He crosses the line from conservative to completely bat$h!t insane.
No need to rehash a bootleg argument. Shaw should be able to handle criticism, as should his disciples.
As to his record, we are on a 2 game losing streak during which our offense has completely come apart. Gonna take some good coaching to pull it back together. I hope Shaw and company are up to the task!
