Lets not forget that to add insult to injury, our commencement speaker was Tom Brokaw, who was there to tell us how our parents were the better generation ::)

The undergrads got Brokaw.  We grad students got some other guy whose name I honestly do not remember, Gregorian or Vergorian or something like that.  And I never even knew the wacky walk existed until I attended a friend's PhD graduation in 2009, since no one tells the grad students about these things.  I thought that the class of 2009 just had a bunch of nutsos until I understood it was actually the usual tradition.
