Well, the offensive line was actually opening up holes for the running game the first three games of the season -- at that point we were more concerned about the passing game. (Specifically the lack of attempts.) Again, things fell off, though I'm not sure it's attributable to injuries -- Tucker was injured in the first half of the UW game, but things weren't exactly strong before then.
The year Fleming was a freshmen was 2011; in that year, Stanford had three new starters, not four. And the returning starters were David DeCastro and Jonathan Martin, a slightly different situation than Johnny Caspers and Casey Tucker.
