JJJ has it right. The band is currently banned from traveling. The Rose Bowl was an exception, thankfully!  They were not allowed to go to UCLA, UW or ND. That being said, I'm hopeful, as is my son, that they can play at Big Game. The deeds were done mostly by students that are no longer at Stanford.
As for the "Fighting Irish," if they still have an issue with that olde skit, let them eat potatoes! I think the bands response was appropriate and funny. If you live in this country, you are highly likely to be from immigrant stock, so people shouldn't take themselves too seriously. If they do, let the LSJUMB have fun with them. Lennay Kekua, White Bronco chase, Ah, these Irish, are all memorable and quite funny. Given that the scripts are now "blessed" by the AD, the opportunity to get edgy is much tougher than it once was.Â
If you want a traditional marching band, go to UCB, Iowa or USC. Nice formations, but rather boring, imho. Let's see what Rice's scatter band brings to the party.Â
