I believe Shaw will stick with his senior QB for at least the next couple of weeks out of loyalty regardless of the poor field results. It just fits his M.O.
The soft underbelly of the schedule hits the next couple of weeks with 'Zona and OSU followed by Team Nike fielding the statistically worst defense in the FBS. Burns will have an opportunity to captain the offense against lesser resistance which may allow improvement. I'm just not sure the talent, coaching or offensive line is there for him to fix what is going wrong and then sustain positive results.
I very much do not want the plaque on the Axe changed in 4 weeks time. That game may be the difference between a poor season or a horrible season.
