Costello looked impressive during the Fall scrimmage - perhaps more than the two ahead of him.
To me it seems like Burns is a bit slower to react. He probably does the best job reading the defense and calling the right play. I have assumed that may have been why he has started vs. Chryst. But he doesn't seem to adjust, move around, and make his reads very quickly once the play begins. Perhaps he's gun shy because of the porous offense line play or that's just his ability.
I think they have to give Chryst a shot at starting and running the offense - not just running. If that doesn't work out after a couple of games - then I think you burn Costello's red shirt and bring him in.
