Kizer -- the next Tyrod Taylor.
I'm not sure whether you intended this as a favorable comparison or an unfavorable one.

Any Stanford fan who watched the Orange Bowl in person (Stanford vs. VA Tech) will remember Tyrod's performance in that game. It was...less than impressive in its totality. I never understood the appeal of Tyrod at the pro level.

Seems shortsighted to evaluate a player based on a single college game. Stanford had an outstanding defense that year, pressuring Taylor all night and sacking him eight times.
He was the ACC player of the year, throwing for 24 TD vs 5 interceptions. As a pro:
Last year he ranked 7th in the NFL in total QBR, 20 TD/6 int, 3,035 passing yards, 568 rushing yards.
This year he ranks 9th in the NFL in total QBR, 9 TD/2 int, 1,297 passing yards, 271 rushing yards.
NFL teams would be delighted if they drafted Kizer and he developed into "the next Tyrod Taylor".
