McCaffrey seems most likely to turn pro. The evidence here is his father has made some comments that imply he would be suggesting that to his son. It's not much to go on, but it's something.
Thomas I have heard nothing that allows me to have any opinion.
I don't think Phillips would be drafted at the current time. That wouldn't necessarily stop him from trying, but I don't think Stanford has ever had a junior declare for the draft then not get drafted.
Tom Keiser left and didn't get drafted. Certainly, of late, third-year juniors (Hooper, Carter) haven't shown any qualms about leaving early.
Anyway, McCaffrey is based on performance and the aging curving of running backs. Purely financially, he'd be foolish to sign up for another 300 hits at no pay in 2017. Of course the decision isn't made purely financially, but that and Ed's comments lead me to believe he's much more likely to go pro than not.
Thomas I have no sense of personally; based purely on his performance.
As for Phillips, I recall an interview of his in the summer with a Nebraska outlet in which he stated his ambition was to leave after three years. Perhaps his performance this year will change those thoughts. Then again, perhaps not.
