In regulation, we basically held SC to an average performance for them, despite the insane field position and favorable noncalls they got.

re: SEC Game of the Century:
I will concede that those are an awesome pair of defenses on display. But don't piss on my leg and tell me it's raining. That was terrible QB play, with little knowledge of the fundamentals. AJ McCarron's last play was incredibly brain-dead. It's hard for me to respect the quality of offensive coaching when you see those offenses on display, especially when you consider the talent and athleticism of recruits they have coming in.
A further thought. We hear a lot about how good these particular SEC defenses are this year. But I submit a large portion of this is past reputation. Last year's SEC featured some actually fearsome offenses and quarterbacks--Newton, obviously, but also McElroy and Mallett. This year's SEC has who, exactly? The Pac-12 has six quarterbacks (Luck, Foles, Barkley, Price, Osweiler, Thomas) who would be either the best or second best QB in the SEC. So for me, getting it done against the Pac-12 this year is far more impressive than getting it done in the SEC.
In terms of the linemen: the defensive linemen have all the talent. Not one LSU or 'bama offensive lineman is projected to go in the first round of next year's draft.
