OK, but is Oregon's offense more explosive than last year's?
Average per game long rushing plays (20+ yards):
2010: 3 plays/game
2011: 3.2 plays/game
Average per game long passing plays (20+ yards):
2010: 3.3 plays game
2011: 3.3 plays/game
That .2 plays/game rushing-wise surely doesn't explain that dramatic a drop in plays/game.
(Nor is it the case that Oregon's had plays eliminated by a strong return game--their explosive returns are markedly decreased since last season.)
