I am going to go further out on the limb and point out that all freshman quarterback situations are different. A freshman or inexperienced QB going into a veteran team that has an established offense is there basically not to screw up, be a "game manager". It is far different, and I would assert more common, that freshman QBs going onto young/bad teams don't do well. It is all on them, and it just may not be possible. Sam Darnold wouldn't have helped Arizona much, but he was good/great with a talented team around him. Unfortunately, we have a lot of uncertainty next year. We may have anywhere from 0 to 3 good QBs. It will indeed be interesting.
