On another note, with regards to MT's point regarding playing for next year, the problem is that just as the pitching is improving and building up its depth (we will have 6 pitchers on the roster next year with addition of Maddy Dwyer), the offense is going to be losing three high performing seniors that are a big reason why the team has batted .326 this year. Aside from Cowles and Horeczko's outstanding performances this year, this team is being carried by Bessie, Kylie and Lauren who are hitting respectively:

Bessie: .419 BA, .602 OBP, .677 Slugging %
Kylie: .369 BA, .429 OBP, .524 Slugging %
Lauren: .366 BA, .451 OBP, .549 Slugging %

Given the impending off-season departure of the 3 high-production seniors to be followed by the arrival of the 8th ranked incoming class in the conference (and, a year later, another 8th ranked class), I have to think that this Pac-12 season is Show or Go time for Hanson.
