At the risk of losing the remainder of my precious reputation points for expressing my enthusiasm for free markets, I would suggest that contemporary Singapore and Hong Kong are often brought up as excellent examples of societies dominated by laissez-faire principles.

True to a certain extent...not everything in Singapore is laissez-faire, as their customs declarations form will remind you ;)
