IIRC, the trainer was a departmental employee not a softball employee. And the supposed object of his affections vehemently denied there was anything between them. I don't think any other coaches were fired, at any rate.

Per the NCAA document, simultaneous with Rittman's resignation, two other softball coaches were involuntarily terminated without cause "to permit the softball team to move in a different direction."Â I saw no mention in that document about any alleged improprieties beyond the practice time and its reporting.
