Sorry Owen. I should have been more extensive with my Utah/Washington comment. Essentially, my point was if you have assigned 1 win between the six Utah/Washington games as the most likely outcome, then in order to achieve that most likely outcome (i.e. 1 win between the two series), I personally thought it would be more likely that the 1 win would come at home against Utah, as opposed to on the road against Washington. I apologize if this line of thinking still runs counter to the probabilistic-based message that you wished to convey; I had based my predicted record on my perception of our Pac-12 opponents, rather than a probability-based approach. In any case, thanks to any brevity in my comments, clearly I am acquitting myself well as an Informatics student. :)
On another note, we started Pac-12 play with a 1-0 loss to Cal. Carolyn turned in another outstanding pitching performance (1 ER, 2 Hits, 4 SO); however, we struggled mightily on offense, with only two hits and no walks drawn.
