A for-profit university has every incentive to lower admissions standards in order to become a factory in whatever field they want to dominate.  A for-profit research university sounds like a tax-sheltered R&D arm of every big pharma/engineering firm in existence, given the right IP and $$$ structure.  Stinks like hákarl.
