I watched bits and pieces of the last televised game against ASU.  When I was watching, I thought the defense was solid.  There were simply too many well hit balls that will inevitably produce runs.  The one area for improvement on defense while I was watching was the catcher's throws to pick off base runners.  Of course, my data sampling is too small to make any conclusion about the season in general.
