Anyone have any insight as to why Chou got the nod over Kersten?

From Winflop, in an earlier thread:

Saw that coming. Kersten was pretty consistent in her scores and they weren't great so I'd rather take a chance on someone else. Chou may not do much better or may do worse but that #5 position is where you can take a bit of a flier when you have such a solid top 4.

I think the theory is that if the tails are wider on the possible outcomes for Chou, then she could have an amazing day and count among our top 4 (they drop the lowest scoring player each round). If Kersten was consistently always the worst, there's an incentive to use a wild card at #5. The opposite logic will apply if they get to match play.
