I don't know about that. The afternoon scores so far are as high or higher than the morning scores. And remember that the afternoon teams are the 15 higher seeded teams. Between Stanford, Alabama and Florida (the top 3 seeded teams), there have been a total of 0 birdies so far. Conditions must be brutal.
The average score for the morning teams was 81.23. We'll see if that goes up or down when the afternoon teams complete their rounds.

It looks like teams ranked 8-14 will post the best rounds. Not coincidentally, they are all going to be in the group that played after the front moved over the course.
Doesn't seem like it is fun, but the only real objective is to finish in the top 8 after 4 days of stroke play. Those at +30 or better tonight are likely going to remain in the mix.
