I was at that tourney in Hawaii, we seemed to be playing good players who were doing well, and we looked like an offensive juggernaut. No idea about rpi of opponents etc but it sure was fun watching us winning.
You know a coach's resume at a school is bad, when the only sentence in her coaching bio regarding her three years spent at the school detail a 4-1 performance against teams that finished #120 and #128 in RPI in a small non-conference tournament, and a random upset over a ranked team.
To wit: "Hanson guided Stanford through a challenging 2016 season filled with adversity. Despite the obstacles, Stanford (13-35, 0-24 Pac-12) produced a number of highlight moments including defeating No. 17/12 Missouri at the Mary Nutter Classic, a 4-1 showing at the Malihini Aloha Tournament in Hawaii and outstanding individual performances in Pac-12 play."

You are absolutely right. My point was not to defend the coach but to say that the team has players capable of winning, reacting to the Lauren article. It can be done, but hanson't been so far...

I know you weren't defending Coach Hanson, JJJ. I simply was pointing out how the tournament that you saw in Hawaii is literally the high-water mark of Coach Hanson's tenure according to gostanford.com, aside from a couple of random upsets here and there. :P
+1, btw, on the "hanson't" joke. :)
On another note, day after regionals has come and past without any news from the AD, so I think it is very likely at this point that the coaching staff will be retained for next year.
