Most states' sex offender laws treat juvenile sex offenders as adults in some respects, which, among other things, means their records aren't automatically sealed at 18 unless requested and granted by a judge.
TBH, I'm not sure why this is a news story, and I really don't see what the point of posting it to the CardBoard is. He did the crime, he paid the time, and hopefully he can get on with his life. I don't see the value in having this here.
