As I get older and older, I do lament the inevitable changes to Stanford that I've witnessed. The loss of Meyer Undergraduate Library (how I miss the wild times during dead week when the center balconies were opened.) The disappearance of the Physics Tank. The change of Full Moon on the Quad (back then, a coed was only considered a Stanford woman when she was kissed by a senior, so I looked forward to my fourth year.) Some things I don't miss - the track surrounding the football field at the Stanford Stadium 1.0.
But wow - Sleep and Dreams is still being taught, and by Bill Dement no less! It's been 41 years since I took it in Dinkelspiel Auditorium. Can't forget the narcoleptic dogs. (And hey, Dink is still there too.)Â
