The North is a three-horse race between us, the Cougs, and UW. Kal, OSU, and OU are all likely to be short of 6 wins overall and likely 3-6 or worse in conference. I think we are the team to beat in the North, followed by Wazzu and then UW.

Naturally, there are lots of unknowns for UW and us, but I certainly don't see UW as #3. I think they will not be as good as they were last year, but that they will still be very strong. We will need to improve significantly to beat them. I think that we WILL improve significantly, but I really can't say we should be the favorite at this point. After the fourt game, maybe! ;D

Four of the six coaches have seats hotter than Death Valley in July (RichRod, Graham, Mora, and MacIntyre).

MacIntyre??? The off-field issues, yes, they matter. But is his seat hot after last year? I can't imagine how. Where does this come from, as I haven't seen it.

I don't think U$C is that good especially in the trenches.

I agree, I think their lines will be an issue. If we can get by them before they have a chance to "jell", it will certainly help. Also, I am not sure their coaching staff is really up to generating wins in close games. Last year, the players made the plays. This year, possibly not so much, and the coaches will have to do a better job. Can they? We will see.
