Awesome post. The key point to hark on is what you said about Alabama suffering little to no drop-off without Richardson, whereas Stanford would not be near #4 without Luck. Even I forget some of the reasons for why AL deserves it, particularly his embodying the student-athlete, perhaps because he's been the presumptive favorite and the nation has read/heard so much of it so many times since last January.
We NEED the media to start pushing the points you brought up. Anyone who's covered Stanford (Wilner, Gemmell, Miller, Herbstreit, etc.) has to come out with articles similar to this post (assuming they agree or we can convince them to agree). Maybe we should all directly contact the aforementioned media members.
OutsiderFan, I think it would be great if you could just copy/paste an abbreviated version of this post and send it to as much of the media as possible, starting with Gemmell and Miller. Luck's teammates and Shaw would be politically incorrect to raise the points you mention, so it is up to the media to do it! And through another grassroots campaign, we should do our part to make sure the media realizes this!
