I think it can be, if we compare it to other candidates' teams.  Again, Alabama's supporting cast (particularly the defense) is so great that they'd still be #2 without Richardson.  Stanford?  Probably still a top 25 team, but you'd be hard-pressed to argue Stanford would be #4 without Luck.

The only candidate that may be more valuable is RG3, but his team has 3 losses!
