Not sure how big the traveling squad is going to be, but I have a hard time believing Rice is so bad they can't stop the run against the bottom of our depth chart, which is what they will see if the score threatens to get out of hand.

I would agree. However, as has been pointed out in this thread, Stanford has had more wins by a big spread than are espoused by popular belief . When this has happened, to my recollection, it is usually that the opponent's defense is just totally over matched and/or we get in a zone where everything we do just works. It could be one of those games. Or not. I remember in the 1968 game against SJSU that they were literally calling players out of the stands to get dressed and play. Then in 1971, SJSU beat us. Granted, that was a while back. But it does show that you shouldn't assume anything.
