Also, fumble rates are probably tied to defensive philosophy.  Is our defensive staff focusing on sound tackling containment at the expense of trying to rip/punch out the ball from opponents?  I can see how failed attempts to strip the ballcarrier could lead to a blown tackle.  I wonder if there's a correlation between fumbles produced and blown tackles.
