That being said, JJAW was being covered one on one, so it was a favorable match-up. Chryst had plenty of time in the pocket. That should have been a big gain, and would have been but Chryst had an entirely forgettable day today. I think WIM probably had the right idea. Make it look like you are going to throw and just run Love. He has as much of a chance of breaking a big one as Chryst and our receiver had of hooking up on a pass of any length. Chryst was 9/20 (45%) and his average completion went 8 yards. Love had 184 yards on 13 caries, and three for over 40 yards. The probabilities favored Love.

I suppose the way Chryst was throwing the ball, perhaps better to take one long shot downfield and pray, rather than depend on him to complete several passes. I highly doubt if just running Love would have worked, but it couldn't have turned out any worse than what we did do.
