A wheel route is very different from getting out in the flat where he can be found quickly, nor is it lining him up in the slot where he can more easily get free from a covering LB/DB. My point is that the offense isn't finding ways to get the ball in his hands other than handoffs & pitches, and instead has him in the backfield trying to pass block which he clearly isn't very good at seeing as his guy sacked Chryst three times last night.
