I don't think anyone minds a low scoring offense as long as the team wins. In Stanford's case, the most important stat for the program is 3rd down efficiency. Stanford needs to possess the ball for its style to be effective. It must convert 3rd downs at least at a 50% clip. Right now it's at 46%. Last year it was 42%.
FYI, Stanford converted 50% of 3rd downs against USC. The problem in that game was much more the defense than the offense, but still think a better QB would help a lot, and frankly, make the OL look better.
