Andrew Luck came back from his first Colts minicamp and reported to Shaw that he was able to learn their offense over the weekend. During Kevin Hogan's fifth year he routinely ran the quarterbacks meeting, presenting the game plan and going over the opponent's defensive tendencies.
My guess is that it Stanford players distinguish themselves in this regard once they get to the next level, and the NFL knows it. Remember Francis Owusu signed a free agent contract with the Dolphins during the summer and head coach Adam Gase was asked if we concerned about his late arrival?
Whered he go to school [Stanford], Gase sarcastically asking the reporter during minicamp. Hell be alright.
We talk about this a lot, but I don't think it be stated enough. Stanford players are smart, they're well-coached, and they're prepared for the NFL.
Excellent post ! I enjoyed reading it, thanks :)
