What I was surprised about is how routinely Cal managed to pressure Falk.  They sacked him something like seven times, frequently without blitzing, and often just using stunts up front.  That typically doesn’t work against WSU because Falk gets rid of the ball so quickly with a lot of quick dink and dunk passes, and twists and stunts take a little bit longer to develop.  Last night, Falk looked like a statue out there (a bit like Halliday did against us a few years ago, when we knocked him out of the game).  I was surprised, but good for Cal for pulling it off.

Cal will go bowling this year and with games against Colorado, Arizona coming up Big Game may feature a battle of two Bowl-eligible teams.
