t hope that when they do win a Big Game (and it will happen sooner rather than later), that they do not go on one of those 7 years swings we've seen of late in the series.  Those kinds of dominance are bad for rivalries, imho.

Well, I share that hope too as far as C.al is concerned.  But I would not at all mind Stanford going on a few more 7 year winning streaks!  I'm not willing to lose to keep the rivalry keen!

But yes, the Pac 12 North seems to be that much tougher.  All we need is for Oregon State to get its act together and we will have 6/6 formidable teams.  I'm not sure if I like that idea given the ignorance of the rest of the country about the quality of Pac 12 play.
