I wonder if they changed that first Ohio State game to an exhibition when they figured we would meet in the Play for Kay?  Over on the FBC it is still listed as a regular game.  I'm certain that it was not scheduled as an exhibition when it was first announced--which was before the Play for Kay tournament teams were announced.

According to the GoStanford article from earlier in the month, http://www.gostanford.com/news/2017/10/2...endar.aspx:

"The Cardinal opens the season in Columbus on Friday, Nov. 10 for a game against the Buckeyes that will be carried on the Big Ten Network at 6 p.m. ET/3 p.m. PT."

Then later in the article, it says:

"The Cardinal kicks things off with a home exhibition on Saturday, November 4 against UC San Diego (4 p.m.)" It doesn't mention anything about Ohio State being an exhibition game.

I infer from this that the Ohio State game counts as part of the regular season. Also, historically, haven't our exhibition games usually been against overmatched opponents?
