We use VR a lot, but Id like to see us use augmented reality. Basically, the player is actually on the field, and the AR overlays stuff onto his field of view. So it could be something like a countdown clock to make him aware of how much time hes in his pocket, or potentiallly highlighting something (like an open receiver on the other side of the field), or blacking a portion of his field of view out to force him not to look at one option for too long.
