Also if I talked to (or about) my wife the way some people he talk about Shaw, she would have left me long ago.  What bothers me is not the criticism, but the lack of respect.  And I think Shaw has earned our respect.

Good grief. We're talking about college football. A game. With fanatics. By definition, we're suppose to be raving lunatics. Lack of respect for David Shaw. No. I don't think so. Lack of tact, absolutely. Unrestrained ranting, certainly. But this is a chatroom, full of other fanatics. One that all of us assume David Shaw pays no attention to. It's not as if we're expecting him to read this crap, let alone change his actions by it. It's simply a place to vent and commiserate, and more often than not, rejoice.

If this were a real room, with the Czar among us, I'm sure the commentary would be quite different, and the respect immense.
