There were a couple "I don't know what to do/we're doing" looks out there last night, but most of the problems were in player execution:Â missing open shots, taking bad ones, and making poor passes (or NOT making the entry pass to Travis).Â
It's not like there wasn't a plan or ball movement (which was a major gripe of mine with Dawkins). Besides, the guy sitting next to you (whom I know pretty well) always overreacts to one bad data point. I remain slightly bullish on this team, assuming a return to health for the roster sooner rather than later.
The big difference I've seen so far is that this team can get guys open but they can't hit shots - that's a skills issue and it can be fixed with practice or personnel. Under Dawkins, those guys would never get open looks because the offensive system couldn't generate them - that's a coaching issue.
