Maybe I'm misremembering, but I believe that our truly great teams coincided with a period of unusually few injuries, when we talked about Turley's magic.  Maybe, like a lot of things, it wasn't magic, but luck, and now we are reverting to the mean.

Lots of good stuff in there, but this mirrors something I've been thinking about too. Without running the numbers it feels like these last two years have had far, far more injuries to key players than the previous 5. I'm not sure how to run these numbers for college, maybe going through pre-game depth charts and noting changes, if those are even available any more. But anecdotally it seems like we're having a lot more trouble, and I wonder which way the regression goes, is this the regression, or should we expect it to get better?
