I think you hit it on the head, Lex. With Belt you just think there should be more, but there isn’t.  He seems to have a long, loopy swing that makes it hard for him to get around. He does have a good eye, which got him a lot of walks early in his career, but first basemen aren’t paid to walk a lot. He’s very good defensively. But barely average speed on the bases. Kind of a two-and-half tool guy IMHO.

Belt struggles with fastballs above the hands.  Streaky. Frustrating as hell. Cause you just think there should be more.
But all in all he’s an above average first baseman. When healthy. Unfortunately he’s hurt a lot.
