This was true in 2017. However, in his cumulative previous MLB career (2012-2016) he hit .156 in June/July/August and .240 in the other months.
Sample sizes for both 2012-2016 (215 at bats) and 2017 (310 at bats) are small enough to render this all meaningless anyway.
And September is the warmest month of the year in San Francisco according to weather services, with an average temperature of 71.3 degrees.
The problem with Hernandez is that he is basically a 30 year old career minor leaguer who had a brief hot streak, he can be useful but only in a limited role. He hit an empty .255 last year: .326 slugging percentage.
