#6. They were both juiced.
Bagwell totally denied using PEDs in a 2010 interview with ESPN, and he wasn't linked in the Mitchell report. he wasn't in the list of 104 names inadvertently released as having tested positive for PEDs. His career numbers went down markedly after age 35. He was pretty consistent from 1991 when he came in the league. Frank Thomas was just a big dude, I think. He came in at 6'5" 240 lbbs, and left with the same measurements.

Agree that it's an unfair assertion. Bagwell admitted to using Andro and other "supplements" that were legal at the time but vehemently denied using illegal PEDs. Thomas was a very big man even when he arrived as a tight end at Auburn, also a vehement and outspoken opponent of PEDs who was the only major league player who met with and co-operated with the group that issued the Mitchell report.
As an aside, MLB commissioner Rob Manfred has stated that there were over ten false positives associated with the infamous "inadvertently released" list of PED users.
