We are up 28-27 at halftime after a 11-0 run to start the game.
What I like:
- A 21-pt first quarter
- Increased aggressiveness on defense, looking to force turnovers
- Balanced scoring
- Only 3 turnovers!
- Fast start to the game
- Forcing the Beavers offense into someone other than Gulich and Tudor (forcing her to the bench with 2 fouls)
- Smith's increased assertiveness on the offensive end
What I don't like:
- Letting the Beavers back in the game (after a 11-0 start, the Beavers have outscored us 27-17)
- Falling for our own defensive strategy (Rueck easing off defense on our least offensive players and leaving them wide open and we fell for that with Coffee, Fingall and Johnson taking long range shots)
- 1/9 from three point range
- Continued streakiness (after 21 pts in the first quarter, just 7 in the second quarter with us not scoring until nearly halfway through the quarter)
- Missing easy layups including a point blank miss by McPhee at the end of the half
- Not guarding McWilliams enough (3-6 from 3-pt range)
